Let whoever earns the palm bear it

五月下旬从加州LA回来，儿子终于把那顶MASTER DEGREE的帽子抛向了天空，他是2008年考入了USC的电影学院[ USC SCHOOL OF CINEMATIC ART], 专业是FILM AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION，据说是在世界电影学院排名第一，当时在全美，及全世界只招收了35名学生，他当时踌躇满志，看到这电影学院的电影技术设备趋于最先进，学习环境又邻近于好莱坞，搞艺术是第三代人才能追求享用的行业，充满了幻想。

USC学校的象征是Men/Women of Troy 特渃伊人。

在学校学了两年理论， 2010年他考虑，毅然休学去了中国上海，“我一直没有离开过学校，电影要表达的是社会和生活，我要去中国上海体验生活，”这时期正是世界各地的人涌向中国，无论是留学还是工作，他在那里闯进了正至中国对外开放的高峰时期，但也开始了进入社会最底层，这底层不是指贫困，而是他赤身投入社会，没有背景，没有陪伴，自己走进社会，交朋友，找事做，也打工，教英语。中文语言也是半猜半疑，在一个陌生环境中挺身站起来，一定经历碰壁，吃亏，受骗。只暗暗让我欣喜的是他的中文进步很大，虽然他的中文在美时已有点基础，记得他曾经在上海电视台为一个电视剧《白领办公室》改剧本，在为蓝领普及口语英语中，他的中文也随之跟进。。。。。

由于在中国做了不少project，为电视台导演show，和多家外国公司，著名人士，演员合作做广告，制作电影，这次的毕业project 之一，music video得到教授的好评，班里的最高分。他的专业是创作性的，充满挑战，更需要激情，勇气，as the lady said at USC ceremony, “bravery is not feeling no fear. Bravery is overcoming the fear to give a try and keep trying.”

他的毕业只是意味着一切刚刚开始。我在这里给他记下一笔。
